Summer – though seasonably cooler than normal – is just beginning to hit its stride. If you haven’t found your way out to any outdoor events, festival, or fairs yet, don’t worry. There are plenty yet to come to central Minnesota that include both adult and family fun!
Summertime by George
Want to get your feet tapping and your hips swaying? Check out Summertime by George for delicious food, fun kids activities, and free musical performances. The festival takes place all summer long, every Wednesday evening from 5-9 PM by Lake George in St. Cloud. Check out the lineup to pick out your favorite bands, or check them all out and enjoy a music-filled summer! For information on kids activities, trolleys, and more, check out their website.
Cold Spring Hometown Pride Days
Cold Spring hosts their annual Hometown Pride Days celebration the weekend of July 28th – 29th! There will be a variety of exciting events for kids throughout the weekend, starting on Thursday evening with the Library Mini Carnival. Friday will include events such as obstacle courses, water wars, and laser tag! Adult-focused events on Friday evening include a bean bag tournament, a belt sander race, and the street dance. The fun continues all day Saturday with city-wide garage sales, races, and Firefest! Come enjoy an adventure-filled weekend in Cold Spring!
Stearns County Fair
Ready for some hometown fun at the fair? The Stearns County Fair runs from July 26th – 30th and admission is free! You’ll find fun for your whole family with endless activities including fair rides, a petting zoo, demolition derby, and tractor pull. There will also be a ranch rodeo, talent contest, and performances from a variety of bands. Come have a blast at the Stearns County Fair!
Benton County Fair
Haven’t had your fix of fun fair outings yet? This year is the 105th Annual Benton County Fair from August 1st – 6th and, as always, admission is free. This year will include a variety of vendors, activities, and performances, including the ATV Big Air Tour, massive detailed sand sculptures, and the “Remembering Our Fallen” Tribute Towers National Traveling Memorial in honor of soldiers who have fallen since 9/11.
TKI Family Picnic
Along with all the fun available to the public this summer, TKI celebrated with our annual Tom Kraemer Family Picnic on June 11th. It was definitely a wonderful way to ring in the summer!
