Full Time Local CDL Truck Driver, Class A

Tom Kraemer Inc. has an immediate opening for a motivated, experienced CDL truck driver.  Tom Kraemer Inc. has been a family owned company since 1938 and continues to provide employees with a positive, safe, success-driven work environment.  We are currently seeking a driver to deliver and pickup storage containers out of our Minneapolis location. HR Manager – Full Time

Tom Kraemer Inc. (TKI) is seeking an experienced and motivated HR Manager to join our growing team. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources — from recruiting and onboarding to benefits management, compliance, and employee relations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and passionate about creating a positive workplace culture while ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and DOT regulations.

This role offers the opportunity to build upon TKI’s established HR foundation, shape policies and procedures, and serve as a trusted partner to management and staff across multiple divisions – including active involvement in safety programs, training initiatives, and payroll operations.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Administration, Compliance & Policy Development

  • Develop, implement, and manage formal HR procedures and policies.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and DOT employment regulations.
  • Oversee workers’ compensation, unemployment, and injury reporting.
  • Create, update, and maintain employee handbooks, SOPs, and training manuals.
  • Manage and administer payroll for TKI and related entities.

Employee Relations & Development

  • Support and coach managers on employee relations, performance goals, and training initiatives.
  • Conduct employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Provide consistent feedback, establish performance benchmarks, and help drive accountability.
  • Assess organizational effectiveness and recommend improvements to enhance culture and productivity.

Recruiting & Onboarding

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting: job postings, screening applicants, coordinating interviews, and preparing formal job offers.
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions for all positions.
  • Lead the onboarding and orientation program to ensure a positive new-hire experience.

Benefits & Training

  • Oversee company benefits programs, including health insurance and 401(k) administration.
  • Coordinate required training, certifications, and compliance programs (including DOT).
  • Research and implement HR best practices to support company growth and employee engagement.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with managers and employees.
  • Experience managing payroll processes and coordinating employee compensation systems.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety programs, OSHA compliance, and employee training requirements.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • High level of confidentiality, integrity, and sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, and ADP or similar payroll software is preferred.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of leading HR initiatives independently.

Compensation & Additional Information:

  • Full-time position (45-55 hours/week)

TKI Intermodal

Production Manager – Welding & Modification Shop (Hands-On Role)

TKI Intermodal, LLC. is a family-owned, award-winning company specializing in container modification. We operate our own container depot and provide innovative solutions to meet the diverse needs of our clients. Our focus is on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, fostering a positive and success-driven work environment.

We are currently seeking a Production Manager to both lead and actively work alongside a team of skilled welders in our modification shop. This role combines hands-on welding and fabrication with day-to-day supervision, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of 6+ full-time welders, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met.
  • Manage day-to-day operations in the mod shop, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring projects stay on schedule.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, helping to develop their skills and improve performance.
  • Perform welding and modification tasks as needed, including MIG and TIG welding, cutting, and grinding.
  • Oversee safety protocols in the shop, ensuring all team members comply with company policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including carpentry and painting, to ensure seamless project completion.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and minor repairs as needed to ensure the shop’s tools and machinery are in optimal working condition.
  • Inspect completed modifications to ensure they meet company and client standards.
  • Foster a positive, efficient, and safe work environment for all team members.

Requirements:

  • Required: Minimum 5 years of experience in welding, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG and TIG welding.
  • Leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
  • Preferred: Experience in carpentry, painting, or other related fields.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized shop.
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
